Creative Studio «Li-Te-Ra»: From First Victories to New Premieres

In the fall of 2025, the creative studio "Li-Te-Ra" emerged in Odesa — an artistic collaboration between the Richelieu Scientific Lyceum and the Odesa Theatrical School.

Why "Li-Te-Ra"?

• Firstly, it translates as a "letter" — a written sign denoting a sound or combination of sounds in a language. It is precisely with sound, word, text, and LITERA-ture in general that the young participants of the creative studio work.
• Secondly, LI stands for Lyceum, Te stands for "Teatralo4ka" (Theatrical School), and RA stands for "razom" (together)! Although RA can also be the Sun God — perhaps because the director Fedir Tkach is "our sunshine," or perhaps because there are as many as two Sonyas studying in the studio!

The debut performance of the creative studio "Li-Te-Ra" turned out to be incredibly successful. The poetic play "From Bazhan to Zhadan," based on poems by Ukrainian poets, captured the hearts of the audience, experts, and jury members at two theater festivals.

Awards for the performance:

• First prize in the theatrical genre and a nomination for "Best Acting Ensemble" at the International Festival-Competition of Theatrical Arts "Bravo."
• Diploma of the 1st Degree Laureate at the VII All-Ukrainian Festival-Competition of Children's, Youth, and Youth Arts "Starry Winter."

These accolades confirmed the high artistic quality of the performance created by the "Li-Te-Ra" studio.

Inspired by their success, the young actors are currently working on exciting new material. Rehearsals are underway for the play "The Birthday of the Infanta," based on fairy tales by Oscar Wilde. The adaptation of the texts and musical numbers was done within the "Tkach-Perekladach" (Tkach-Translator) project, and the music for the new play was created by Andriy Klymenko, the head of the music band "Baliset."

We can only rejoice for the young, talented participants of the creative studio "Li-Te-Ra" and thank Valeriy Kolehoshyn, Director of the Richelieu Scientific Lyceum, and Olena Tkach, Director of the Odesa Theatrical School, for creating this wonderful artistic collaboration.
