I. General Provisions

1.1. ODESA THEATER SCHOOL (hereinafter — the Institution) is a municipal specialized art education institution providing elementary art education in the system of extracurricular education of Odesa city territorial community.

1.2. Name of the Institution:

  • 1.2.1. Full name in state language: ОДЕСЬКА ТЕАТРАЛЬНА ШКОЛА.
  • 1.2.2. Short name in state language: ОТШ.
  • 1.2.3. In English: ODESA THEATER SCHOOL.

1.3. The Founder of the Institution is the Odesa City Council. Management and control on behalf of the Founder is carried out by the Department of International Cooperation, Culture and Marketing of Odesa City Council.

1.4. The Institution is a non-profit legal entity of public law.

1.10. Legal address: 24 Sofiivska St., Odesa, 65082, Ukraine.


II. Purpose, Areas and Main Objectives

2.1. The main goal is creating comprehensive conditions for acquiring elementary art education, developing artistic talent, and nurturing cultural competencies.

2.2. The school operates in artistic, aesthetic, theatrical, musical, and choreographic fields of extracurricular art education.

2.7. The educational process is organized according to elementary, basic (secondary), and advanced levels of elementary art education.

2.11. Teaching is carried out in the state Ukrainian language.


III. Rights and Obligations of the Institution

3.1. The Institution enjoys academic, pedagogical, and organizational autonomy within Ukrainian legislation.

3.2. The Institution guarantees safe educational conditions and high-quality artistic education.


IV. Management of the Institution

4.1. Management is performed by the Founder (Odesa City Council), the Governing Body (Department of Culture), the Director, and the Pedagogical Council.

4.4. Direct management is performed by the Director of the School.


V. Participants of Educational Process

5.1. Participants include students, pedagogical staff (teachers, accompanists, directors), parents/legal guardians, and partner organizations.

5.5. The pedagogical workload standard is 18 teaching hours per week per rate.


VI. Organization of the Educational Process

6.3. The academic year begins on September 1 and concludes by June 30.

6.11. Lesson duration:

  • Children under 6 years: 30 minutes;
  • Children aged 6–7 years: 35 minutes;
  • Older students: 45 minutes.

6.16. Graduating students who fulfill the educational program receive the Certificate of Elementary Art Education.


VII. Financial & Economic Activities

7.1. Financed by the budget of Odesa city territorial community, tuition fees, donations, and non-prohibited sources.

7.9. Property is municipal property of Odesa territorial community in operational management.


VIII. International Cooperation

8.1. The school participates in international festivals, academic mobility, cross-border artistic programs, and partner exchanges.


IX. Amendments to the Statute

9.1. Amendments to the Statute are approved by the Founder and registered according to law.


X. Termination of the Institution

10.1. Termination is carried out via reorganization or liquidation by decision of the Founder.
